I just had this for dessert, and I have to say I'm in love. It's so easy, you just need an oven, a bit of flour, sugar, eggs, butter, chocolate chips/buttons, vanilla if you wish, a whisk (or a fork), a bowl and that's it! It doesn't need to chill for hours in the fridge, this is the kind of recipes I like, easy, fast, you just mix, bake and eat. Love it! The recipe makes about 4 portions, but you can decide if you want to make smaller or bigger portions out of it.
Ingredients:
-140 grs (5 oz or about 5/6 of a cup) of bittersweet chocolate chopped
-100 grs (3.5 oz)of unsalted butter (cut it into smaller pieces to make it easier to melt)
-4 eggs
-3/4 cups of sugar
-1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
-1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
2. Put chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl and place them in the microwave for 10 seconds lapses (stir in between lapses to make sure you realize when it's totally melted, if over heated you might burn your chocolate), until both the chocolate and the butter are totally melted and stir to combine completly. You can also melt your mix in a heat-proof bowl, placing it over a pan of barely simmering water and stirring ocassionaly.
3. In a bigger bowl, place the whole eggs, the vanilla and the sugar, and whisk until the mix turns pale yellow.
4. Add your chocolate and butter mixture and keep whisking.
5. Sift the flour and add it into the mixture, little by little, while you keep whisking.
6. Grease your molds or ramekins with butter or cooking spray, and pour cocoa powder to cover all over your greased surface, take off the excess of powder.
7. Pour the mix in your molds and place them into the oven and bake for about 12 to 14 minutes.
8. Let it cool a bit, and unmold... Or just eat it burning hot from your mold if you can't wait, preferably wait at least 3 minutes after you unmold so that you don't burn your mouth like I just did.
