Welcome!

This blog, just as my other blog, works as a diary to me (well, a recipe book in this case). I just decided that I got more recipes all over my house, desk, magazines and computer than I can handle, I was about to start compiling them into an Excel document, but it's a while I don't get into those things and it's taking me ages...
So yeah, I just decided to compile it into a blog. I first thought about adding them around my other blog but I'm just learning to manage this blog thingy and I don't wanna flood it all of a sudden with a thousand recipes when that's not why I created the other blog for, so as it is easier I will just bring my recipe compilation online, hopefully with the use of tags it will be easier to manage all the recipes.

It is necessary for me to explain that I just got married and I always always thought I couldn't cook at all, so I don't need to say I was scared. As a child if I ever wanted to help out in the kitchen it wouldn't end up that well, I was extremely slow at cutting or peeling (most of times that's the only thing I was asked to do), whenever my mom needed the stuff, I didn't have it ready... "You peeled off half of the fruit/vegetable!", "Too small!", "Too big", "Too slow!", "This is not cilantro, it's parsley!"... Long story short, I always believed kitchen was not for me, and so I stopped offering my help, and if I ever had to cook a thing I would panic, for real! It was so extreme that I lived for 2 years on my own and the only things I would eat were sandwiches, cereals, and when feeling adventurous... Eggs! I once tried to make rice which turned into a soup (the rice I intended to make wasn't supposed to look like that), and after a few salty/burnt meals, I just gave up.

So marriage came, and well, my husband was cooking but he couldn't do it all of the time, I saw a few recipes on Youtube (it is kind of more graphic and helpful for someone just starting), I was extremely careful with the portions, times, ingredients, etc. And when I first tried my husband was like "I really liked it", I didn't know if he really meant it or he was just trying to be nice because of all the effort I put in it. But after a couple of months I had my younger sisters at home, I cooked for them, and they were telling my food was really good, so I assumed it wasn't that bad at least, then I cooked for my parents and my older sisters and they said it  was delicious, so now I believe it, looks like I'm not bad at cooking, and some recipes are so delicious. I feel like a little girl playing the mommy as I'm cooking in my own kitchen. So yeah, parents, don't be mean, it might get a little bit messy, but from time to time let your kids in the kitchen. ;)

So yeah, now I'm cooking, and I've been saving, writting, cropping recipes anywhere I find them, magazines, websites, T.V., family and so, and I love trying them and experimenting. I've tried some of the recipes, some others I haven't yet because it's like many many, but I will get a special tag for that. By now I will be uploading randomly, but I hope soon with the help of tags and other pages I will be able to make it easier to find the recipes I want/need for you and for me. The first idea was to make my recipe book, but it's easier to manage online, and if anyone else can make use of this, it couldn't be better! I'd love to share and discuss all these recipes. So let's start!
